Editors Note: I am extremely pleased to have Bill Llewellyn contributing an article for us this week. For those who are unaware, he is the author of Anabolics 2000 and Anabolics 2002 and is one of the bodybuilding world’s foremost experts on androgens and anabolics. He is also the President of Molecular Nutrition, one of the most innovative companies in this business. Along with Avant Labs and Ergo Pharm, Molecular Nutrition is one of the few companies dedicated to putting forth only those products backed by legitimate research, rather than excessive hype and other such B. Two products, in particular, that deserve to be more well-known are Viritase, a potent anti-estrogen, and Boldione, a boldenone precursor. To find out more about these, and the rest of their products, I reccomend that you head over to their website — but only after you have finsished reading big Mf’r and spent all of your money on our products, of course 🙂 Now, on to the article: I have received a lot of heat lately about my preference for Nolvadex over Clomid, which I hold for all purposes of use (in the bodybuilding world anyway); as an anti-estrogen, an HDL (good) cholesterol-supporting drug, and as a testosterone-stimulating compound. Most people use Nolvadex to combat gynecomastia over Clomid anyway, so that is an easy sell. And for cholesterol, well, most bodybuilders unfortunately pay little attention to this important issue, so by way of disinterest, another easy opinion to discuss. And for cholesterol, well, most bodybuilders unfortunately pay little attention to this important issue, so by way of disinterest, another easy opinion to discuss. But when it comes to using Nolvadex for increasing endogenous testosterone release, bodybuilders just do not want to hear it. I can only guess that this is based on a long rooted misunderstanding of the actions of the two drugs. In this article I would therefore like to discuss the specifics for these two agents, and explain clearly the usefulness of Nolvadex for the specific purpose of increasing testosterone production. Clomid and Nolvadex I am not sure how Clomid and Nolvadex became so separated in the minds of bodybuilders. Clomid and Nolvadex are both anti-estrogens belonging to the same group of triphenylethylene compounds. They are structurally related and specifically classified as selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMs) with mixed agonistic and antagonistic properties. It is also used off-label to boost Testosterone and sperm count for men. Oct 18, 2017. Clomid uses a different approach to increase testosterone AND. Dosage can be adjusted based on any side effects, lab results and overall. Clomid is the most popular endogenous Testosterone simulating compound among the anabolic steroid using community. This is due in part because of how long it has been on the market, as well as being the very first fertility drug (for both men and women) that anabolic steroid users first took notice of. Despite the fact that Nolvadex has demonstrated an overall better ability to stimulate Testosterone levels in men, Clomid nevertheless remains a staple compound for hormonal recovery during PCT for most anabolic steroid users. The overwhelming majority of PCT protocols will include Clomid and Nolvadex together for an added effect on HPTA (Hypothalamic Pituitary Testicular Axis) recovery during the post-cycle period, although there are some problems and setbacks related to Clomid’s action that will be covered shortly. Clomid doses in comparison to Nolvadex, for example, will normally need to be in the higher range in order for the compound to do its job in the body, as it is not as powerful as its brother compound Nolvadex, and this will be explained shortly. In terms of Clomid dosages for the purpose of HPTA and endogenous Testosterone restoration, one study has demonstrated that 150mg of Clomid (Clomiphene Citrate) administered daily raised endogenous Testosterone levels of 10 healthy males by approximately 150%, while incidentally, 20mg of Nolvadex (Tamoxifen Citrate) daily raised endogenous Testosterone levels by the same amount. It is very evident here that Clomid is very effective for this purpose, but Nolvadex seems to be a more cost-effective choice seeing as though it is more effective than Clomid when compared mg for mg. Clomid for Men With Low Testosterone Part Four This article is part four of a series. Part One, Part two, Part Three Infertility is a major adverse effect of testosterone therapy in young males. For this reason, testosterone therapy is usually avoided in this group. Oral enclomiphene citrate stimulates the endogenous production of testosterone and sperm counts in men with low testosterone: comparison with testosterone gel. Clomiphene citrate is employed off-label in men who have low testosterone and for the restoration of sperm counts in men who have used exogenous testosterone. A better solution is clomiphene, FDA approved as a a fertility drug for women. Clomiphene is a mixture of two diastereoisomers: zuclomiphene and enclomiphene. Although not specifically FDA approved for use in males, it is frequently used “off-label” and is preferable to testosterone therapy, since clomiphene will raise testosterone levels without the adverse effect of infertility. We evaluated enclomiphene citrate in men with secondary hypogonadism. New studies over 2013-2014 published in the urology and endocrinology literature show renewed interest in Clomiphene treatment to increase testosterone levels in hypogonadal males. AIM: Our aim was to compare oral enclomiphene citrate as an alternative to topical testosterone. These recent studies find clomiphene just as effective as testosterone therapy itself, without the adverse side effect of infertility produced by testosterone treatment.(1-9) The studies find that Clomid (Clomiphene) actually increases FSH levels, which stimulates increased sperm counts and preserves fertility. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Blood levels of total testosterone (TT), estradiol, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), sex hormone binding globulin, thyroid stimulation hormone, prolactin, and insulin-like growth factor 1 IGF-1 were measured at certain times after treatment with each agent.
